Alpha in Ghana

Alpha is a series of interactive video and discussion sessions exploring the Christian faith. Each session looks at a different question around faith, like ‘Who is Jesus?’ ‘How Does God guide us?’ and ‘Is there more to life than this?’

Generally, every Alpha has three key things in common: hospitality, a talk and good conversation. People host Alpha all around the globe—in cafés, churches, universities, homes, online—and anyone is welcome to attend!

Slide 1 Debora
Debora's Story
Growing up in a devoted Christian home, Debora seemingly knew all about God, but when she started asking questions about God she could not find a safe space to process them. Until she made her way to Alpha at university.
If this God of yours just wants me to go to church and is so insecure that He doesn't want to be questioned, then I really want nothing to do with Him...
Debora | Cape Town, South Africa
Slide Emmanuel
Emmanuel's Story
Emmanuel was invited to try Alpha whilst in prison for his part in the Rwandan Genocide. This is his story.
I have found forgiveness and healing for the things I have done.
Emmanuel | Rwanda
Slide 3 Ben
Ben's Story
Ben grew up going to church to be good before God, but his reality was drugs, alcohol and a lack of peace. Until he encountered Jesus on Alpha…
I loved the atmosphere... it was warm and inviting and also really spiritually enlightening, but in a really gentle way.
Ben | Lagos, Nigeria
Slide 3 Xola
Xola's Story
Xola shares his transformation from gang life to finding a new way of living.
I used to think that God was not for me but for other people.
Xola | Cape Town, South Africa

Donate to Alpha

Alpha is always offered for FREE so that nobody is excluded from hearing the good news of Jesus. To do this we rely fully on the generosity of donors. Can you help us?

Alpha Sub-Saharan Africa has its own local infrastructure, staff and costs. Whilst being partly supported by generous donors around the world, there is a gap that needs to be met through local fundraising.

To see lives transformed, please consider partnering with us by making either a once-off donation or becoming a Friend of Alpha by pledging a monthly donation.

Every gift makes a difference. Any amount is appreciated.
