Alpha for the Catholic Context

Equipping your parish in its mission to help people encounter Jesus

Alpha is a tool for evangelisation that helps create a welcoming space for life-changing conversations about the Christian faith.

Alpha in the Catholic Context

Alpha is a kerygmatic resource for parish and community renewal. Parishes around the world have seen significant growth in numbers and a new enthusiasm for mission.

Alpha-for-Catholics

Alpha engages lay people in the life and mission of the Church. Often, guests who have experienced Alpha go on to become confident evangelisers themselves.

Alpha-for-Catholics

Alpha equips parishes to go reach those outside the Church. An evangelising community knows that the Lord has taken the initiative by loving us first, therefore we can go and reach others.

Alpha-for-Catholics

Alpha engages and reaches young people through a relaxed, interactive, non-judgemental and fun environment. It’s designed to engage young people in a culturally relevant way.

Every Alpha session has three key ingredients

Connect

Connection

Whether in person over a meal or virtually with a cup of tea, all sessions start with a time to connect, relax and build friendships.

Content

The Alpha talks are designed to inspire conversation. They explore the big issues of life, meaning and the Christian faith.

discuss

Conversation

One of the most important parts of any Alpha is the discussion time. There’s no obligation to say anything and there’s nothing you can’t say.
